My name is Eman Aleksic, and I am a seasoned Scientist specializing in Medical Testing and Diagnostics, with over two decades of experience. I am currently based in Portugal.
My journey began in the realm of research and development, where I honed my skills in laboratory management. As my career progressed, I transitioned into the domain of Clinical Diagnostics and Quality Management. Notably, I have made significant contributions in the field of HIV, having worked in PC2 and PC3 facilities, and I currently focus on Advanced HIV Disease and Infectious Diseases as a Product Manager.
With a strong background in commercial settings, I have excelled as a Global Product Manager, engaging with stakeholders at ministry levels and forging partnerships with implementing partners and funding agencies. My work has taken me across diverse regions, including extensive travels throughout Africa, Central America, and South America.
Operating within cross-functional teams has been a defining aspect of my career. I have collaborated with various departments such as production, quality, product support, regulatory affairs, registrations, manufacturing, and development, as well as post-market activities. Demonstrating my commitment to optimizing outcomes, I have designed training tools and online platforms to support local implementation efforts, particularly in addressing challenges like staff turnover. Additionally, I have actively participated in risk assessments and audits.
A key aspect of my role has been nurturing relationships with implementing partners, ensuring smooth product onboarding, and fostering strong integration with scientific institutes. Furthermore, I have engaged extensively with government ministries on a global scale, facilitating effective collaboration and maximizing product impact.
